It’s a month after Christmas and the tree is still up.
There are boxes of decorations sitting in the dining room.
There are still gifts under the tree.
Dishes. Laundry. Piles of mail and magazines.
My house is a disaster.
Every waking second goes towards diabetes.
Planning meals, counting carbs, organizing meds and supplies, filing paperwork for insurance, packing lunches, making grocery lists, running to the pharmacy and to the grocery store.
Diabetes consumes me.
In the moments I am not doing one of the above mentioned tasks I am reading or thinking about diabetes.
And sometimes I sit and do nothing because i am just so tired.
