Thought #2: Ian is sick.

Fortunately Ian was not super sick when he was admitted to the hospital. He had only displayed symptoms for a few weeks and we’d only made the connection about a week before he was diagnosed.

But the reality was he was indeed a sick child.

With a pancreas that did not work. With blood sugars that were out of whack. With dangers lurking. With required medicine. With a future full of doctor’s appointments and medical intervention.
